My wife has described me as a maniacal genius with the attention span of a gnat. Adult Technical Education has become my passion. I am 52 years old and work as a Nuclear Engineering Instructor at the Millstone Nuclear Power Station in Waterford, Connecticut. I am also the site's circuit breaker expert and as such, have taught various classes in circuit breaker maintenance and repair. I have one daughter who is currently at UCONN majoring in Animal Studies. She will be applying to Veterinarian School this semester.
I was thrilled when I learned we were going to use GameSalad for this course. Unlike the majority of the class, I don't have an education degree. I received my undergraduate degree in Information Technology from UMass Lowell a year ago. I've known about the program for a few years, but haven't had the time to learn it. I consider this killing two birds with one stone.
I am applying for the Ed.D program in February, I plan on using this course and this program to further my research into whether virtual learning can translate into practical performance.
