The future of nuclear power in the United States looks bright. While supplies of natural gas are increasing, the demand is increasing as well. In order for the laws of supply and demand to function and lower prices, there has to be an increase in supply while the demand stays constant. While many express trepidation as to the safety of nuclear power, the safety record of the industry is good and sustained online periods are commonplace.

For the record, my favorite element is Hafnium. This is because even after Hafnium absorbs a neutron, it's subsequent isotopes still present a large cross section for absorption for neutrons which makes it an ideal element to use in the making of control rods.
